Magical
This place is truly magical. Brad and I are in agreement that this is our favorite place we've ever been.

Things are looking up!
So the place we stayed last night wasn't quite what we expected...we packed up and left this morning sort of winging it. Lucked into a super friendly waiter and asked if he might know of a place for us to stay. Within minutes his brother was sitting with us and offering us a place to stay that he thought would be perfect! We are going to finish our beyond fantastic breakfast of bruschetta and ham and mozzarella and are headed to view the apartment.
Wish us luck!

Change of Plans
We have had a very memorable day today. First up, the boat ride from Venice followed by the drive down the windy roads toward Florence in the back seat of our rental car proved too much for Amelia's stomach. She was sick all over the car. Awesome. We narrowly missed a chain reaction, cleaned up as best we could with Italian cleaning products and administered Dramamine all around and proceeded toward our apartment.
We arrived at the apartment only to discover that the two bedroom with wifi was actually a one bedroom with no wifi. Hmmm. The girls had pizza and gelato as I had 3 glasses of wine as brad frantically tried to find us a last minute place to stay.
As it was a sweltering 95 degrees at 5pm and there were few options nearby, we decided that if it felt like the beach, we may as well have some water and views to match. So we opted to hop back in the car and drive 5 MORE hours South to the Amalfi Coast.
En route, brad was able to confirm an apartment that has two bedrooms and wifi. Wish us luck!
Cheers!

Panic taxi to airport
Brad didn't make this selfie - he was in the front seat. We took the wrong train headed to he airport and had to abandon ship and hope for a taxi. Turns out it's very hard to find a taxi to fit 5! Luckily we found one who was willing to squeeze is in. We made it with plenty of time to spare. Sitting at gate waiting for our flight to Venice.
One last coffee and gelato
Favorite gelato in France was Amorino - can get as many flavors as you want in a "flower" shape. I can't imagine it will be that much better in Italy but I bet it will!
